Alanis Nadine Morissette was born June 1, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Georgia Mary Ann Feuerstein, a teacher and Hungarian descent , and Alan Richard Morissette, a high school principal and French-Canadian descent. She has a twin brother Wade Morissette (also a musician) who was born 12 minutes after her.
Alanis Morissette has released a new song, ‘Into A King’, via SoundCloud.com, It is a song about the celebration of her one year anniversary of her marriage to her husband.
On May 22, 2010, Morissette married rapper Mario “MC Souleye” Treadway in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home. Morissette later confirmed the news on her Twitter page: "So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other....sending love...connect soon xo - Alanis"
Their first child, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, was born on December 25, 2010.
