Alena Seredova, the runner-up in the Miss Czech Republic 1998 contest finally married Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon on Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Vysehrad. Vysehrad is a castle located in the city of Prague, Czech Republic. It was probably built in the 10th century, on a hill over the Vltava River. Situated within the castle is the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul.
Alena Seredova and Buffon, end of their courtship that has lasted six years and they have two sons, Louis Thomas (born December 28, 2007) and David Lee (born October 31, 2009). The first of their children is named after Thomas N'Kono, who used to be the favourite goalkeeper of Buffon during childhood.
Alena Seredova had changed the wedding location of St Vitus Cathedral at Prague castle to the Church of St. Peter and Paul, located just outside the city center of Prague. This step was taken for fear the event disrupted by transport jobs in the area.
Dozens of people attended the ceremony at St Peter and Paul Church on a hill above the Vltava river in the centre of Seredova's native city.
As reported by ChechPosition, Buffon and Seredova came to the church using a Rolls Royce. Seredova wearing a white dress accompanied by her two children. Meanwhile, her husband, Buffon, accompanied by her mother, Maria Stella, Buffon who was wearing a black suit, looked happy as he entered the church.
The runner-up in the Miss Universe 1998 is claimed had hesitated to determine a wedding dress, because the price reached 110 thousand Euros.This information was leaked by one of fellow male of Seredova who attended the wedding. " It's very strange. When I was little, I grew up in Czechoslovakia under the communist regime and I know how valuable an item, " he said quoting Seredova.
